    STATE OF EMERGENCY (SOE) is a Charlotte, NC based empowerment program of the Lionel Lee Jr. Center for Wellness (LLCW).

    SOE was created for & by Black Transgender Women to empower Black Transgender Women (BTW).

    SOE has three (3) primary areas of service:

    1. SOE Emergency Assistance Fund for BTW in the greater Charlotte area.
    2. [Trans]parent Magazine - The nation's only professionally published magazine for & by BTW (digital and print). Published by SOE.
    3. [Trans]parent Talk Show - Hosted by SOE's Leadership Team - five (5) dynamic BTW. Broadcast on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and SOE website.

    The American Medical Association (AMA) describes the violence against Black Transgender Women as an epidemic.

    Too many BTW are homeless or living in socio-economic crisis.
